Structure and Function: Squids are very complicated in comparison to the other animals we have dissected. They have an open circulatory system and a separate mouth and anus for their digestive system. Squids have bilateral symmetry and produce sexually.
Ecology: Squids reproduce very quickly and don't live for that long. They are sometimes referred to as the weeds of the ocean. Even though we might find them annoying, they are a very important food source to animals in the ocean. Sperm whales alone eat over 100 million tons of squid every year. They also eat some stuff but who cares.
